Suspended Fern Orb

I love the silver ball, I always have.

The installation, called Ferns suspended over the center of Wellingtons Te Ngākau Civic Square, is by Neil Dawson and was 'installated' in 1998
Neil cut out 11 large fronds from aluminium plates and welded them into one form over a wooden mould. He then painted the form gold on the interior and silver on the exterior.
