Day 11 - Another picture of you and your friends

I love the easy subjects :-)

So, after the Kiwi friends picture here's a relatively old one of myself and my two oldest friends from the UK. Andy (on the left) is the person outside of my family I have known the longest and Rob (in the middle) is not that far behind. We were at Monmouth Comp together amongst a wider group of cool kids ... *ahem*

Unfortunately I haven't seen them both since the days of this photo ... no, that's not quite true we did all manage to catch up on our Welsh/UK sojourn a few years ago. But it's still true to say I don't really communicate with either of them on any sort of regular basis. Having said that I still count them, as friends and would do almost anything to help them out if ever called on.

Wow, what a movie  Anatomy of a Fall  (2023) is. For the past year, Sandra, a German writer, her French husband Samuel, and their eleven-year-old son Daniel have lived a secluded life in a remote town in the French Alps. When Samuel is found dead in the snow below their chalet, the police question whether he committed suicide or was killed. The court scenes are eye opening as the prosecutor hones in on Sandra's life, each moment taking on a face that fits his version of what happened. Is he right though? The French system is slightly different to the one we know in the UK / Australia / AoNZ, fascinating. The acting is top shelf,  Sandra Hüller , alongside Swann Arlaud ,  Antoine Reinartz ,  Milo Machado-Graner , and  Samuel Theis , deserve special mention but the whole cast nail it. My Ring

Natalie and I are deeply in love ... lust as well but we're not here to talk about that. Whilst marriage was off the cards for quite a while late last year we decided to make a pledge to each other. To symbolise the pledge before AoNZ friends and family we bought rings, which we both lost and have had to replace, LOL. This is what I said to Nat. Too many people comfortably plump themselves into an army of one type or another . Surrounded by those that sound like you, listen to you intently whilst nodding, and echo your thoughts on why the fight is a good fight and that the other side are such bad terrible people. I used to be more like that than I am nowadays ... hmmmm, aren't we humans meant to become more conservative and reactionary as we age, strange Mike.
