Faxi Falls

The first of two waterfalls I got to see, no, that I got to experience in Iceland.

Faxi waterfall (also knows as Faxafoss Faxi, Fossin Faxi, or Vatnsleysufoss Faxi) flows from Tungufljot River that is fed by glaciers and other streams from the highlands in Iceland’s interiors.

A wide waterfall seen from the bottom as the water tumbles over in white plumes into the ongoing river. Behind it the sun is rising turning the clouds a light golden colour.
