Our Corner* Of The Universe
Every single dot you see with your naked eye in the night sky is a star of our galaxy, the Milky Way. Not just of our galaxy but the local area with the galaxy.
I used to think, and I've no idea which man in a pub told me this, that every dot you see in the night sky is another galaxy. I wasn't alone as I see it's a common question on Google as well.
* Not sure how we can have a corner of something that is likely to be infinite, certainly expanding at an ever greater rate, and could even be curved.
