Why Beautiful People Have More Daughters - all in capital growed-up letters because it's the title of a "to be published in September" book*

The key points to note follow and ... oh, you can read more at the Psychology Today site - I tell you, the things people read and then forward to me, you'd not believe it sometimes.

I have added my own non-inflammatory remarks to help you along with the discussions you'll want to have with your spouses, partner(s), work colleagues, Mothers group and the person reading over your shoulder!
  1. Men like blond bombshells (and women want to look like them)
    I don't. I am a man. Not all women want to look like them. ... Or am I just kidding myself?
  2. Humans are naturally polygamous
    I have the scars and bruises to prove that this is both a truism and patently a lie!
  3. Most women benefit from polygyny, while most men benefit from monogamy
    I'd heard this one before ... and I'm probably convinced. If so, however, how do committed lesbian relationships survive?
  4. Most suicide bombers are Muslim
    Ooooh, come on - what about those nice American lads popping around Bagdhad in their tin tanks, that's gotta be close to suicide on most days. And, I saw Byron Keller send a pass to Dan Carter that I thought was total suicide and I ain't seen him wearing a towel on his head.
  5. Having sons reduces the likelihood of divorce
    Less monthly stress? I dunno, just being annoying in my attempt at wit aren't I. Less fights because of the toilet seat situation? Less bills for toilet paper? What!? I'm just asking!
  6. Beautiful people have more daughters
    We do ... I have ... oh, one. Which is more than nearly everyone I know so nar-nar-nar!

    Fuck, this didn't take a psychology book did it? Bill Gates + Windows; Paul McCartney - John Lennon - it's just criminal M'Lud and the case for the prosecution rests.

Sharing calendars can be both: an effective way of letting everyone know a complete and utter technical pain in the bottomly region If you've posted up an events page onto your website you know how difficult it is to keep up to date, how the readers have to keep coming back to get the latest changes and don't even think about integrating with somebody else's "events page". Ok, so we all know the problem. What's the solution? iCalendar (normally shortened to iCal) ... yep, it's a geek word that you will come to know and love just as much as RSS. Catastrotivity, The How To

Exurb2a on teh Interwebs (don't ask me I'm not down wiv da kidz) is a a channel/person/"content creator" that I've only recently discovered and I very glad I have. His videos cover everything, are productions of genius with a lot to say, and can be very funny through some quite deep stuff. He also did, a few years ago, a mini series called Catastrotivity . In 6 episodes of about 10 mins each he gives you the OK, the "Go do it", the "Don't listen to them!" that he's learned over the years of creating. It's is very VERY good. Whilst the above is YouTube you can also get it as a podcast via Spotify, I did, you should.
