Fat Freddy's has been it for a long time (too long - not their issue, mine) ... but now, thanks to Jools Holland, I have got some new music I will/am playing on ratation - Kaiser Chiefs debut CD Employment

It's Britpop with punk, 80's pop mixed up with a dash of Duran Duran, Adam Ant and that other 80's band I can't recall ("You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar ..."*)

The Difference Between One Million And One Billion

It's feels like a billion is just a bit bigger than a million. Obviously it's bigger but it fits on the same scale as a million, surely. It doesn't. A billion is so so so much bigger than a million. I've trawled the internet finding graphics and videos that show the VAST difference between one million and one billion. Oh, and just to finish with a different misconception about space starting with the classic opening line from the great Douglas Adams and The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy : “Space is big. Walking home past the Boys School playing fields , it's quite the idyllic view. I recall playing the Monmouth School for Boys only once before the fixture was cancelled due to the incessant fighting. I wonder if it's back on or has the early 1980s ban held firm.
