Off we set to do a round Wales car trip from Monmouth to Monmouth via all the best bits of Wales.

Our first stop was Crickhowell for a spot of breakfast and a wander around the town.

It's feels like a billion is just a bit bigger than a million. Obviously it's bigger but it fits on the same scale as a million, surely. It doesn't. A billion is so so so much bigger than a million. In the olden days we had a collection of cook books, scraps of handwritten recipes stuffed in, and a handful ripped out pages from magazines. These days it's electronic. We have a collection of cooking websites, scraps of typed in notes stuffed between to do lists, YouTube videos bookmarked, and a handful of screenshots from Facebook. It was a while ago that I handed over the reigns of the two international rugby calendars to those that wanted to continue them. I recently popped over to the Rugby Calendars page on this site and wowsers, both are chocker full of international rugby entries and it was an absolute delight. I am loving how the rugby fan community has stepped up, taken the calendars to heart, and kept them going (even better than before). On ACT’s Takeover Of The Government Agenda Thursday, 15 August 2024 - Gordon Campbell The ACT Party won only 8.6% of the vote last year, so how come it seems to be driving about 75% of the government’s agenda? It's quite surreal to watch a country move from kindness to selfishness. It's also a bit weird to watch the majority party be led by the nose by the two minority parties of the coalition. Having said that, I'm not sure National are actually bothered as Act and NZ First are merely saying / doing what they would want to say but feel hamstrung by history and legacy. I now also think these three will be back following the next election. Yes, they are hurting people, they are fucking up the environment, they're killing the economy, and they've no plans that doesn't involve ensuring rich multinationals and friends benefit.  They're doing all that in such a way that their voting base isn't really feeling it.
