Newton's Apple

Apparently, so the story goes, back in the middle part of the 20th century a group of New Zealand scientists were on a working trip to the UK.

During the trip one of them visited the famed Newton's Apple Tree, took a cutting, and planted it back at work in New Zealand.

You are looking at a clone of the original tree under which Sir Issac Newtown is said to have sat and questioned the nature of gravity. The subsequent laws of gravity Newton devised endured for hundreds of years until Einstein sat upon a light beam.
