Hair today, going tomorrow

I know, it's a naff subject heading but what can ya do? So, here is step one in the journey towards a bald Mike. I thought it I'd give my bonce a chance to get used to a little NZ sun (which is more 'powerful' than any other place I've been to - I burn within minutes) before the going the whole hog.

And why bald ... why not - just fancied it really.

Expect more photo's Sunday with a baldy-coot/slap-head Mike which may well then see me wearing loads of hats and urging the follicles to do their growing thing. Or, I will love it and that's hair for this life.

It's an almost common phrase, "We live better than a king of old!" Ok, let's do some a lot of searching and see if that's true in any sense at all BUT first ... Some definitions ... The Difference Between One Million And One Billion

It's feels like a billion is just a bit bigger than a million. Obviously it's bigger but it fits on the same scale as a million, surely. It doesn't. A billion is so so so much bigger than a million. I've trawled the internet finding graphics and videos that show the VAST difference between one million and one billion. Oh, and just to finish with a different misconception about space starting with the classic opening line from the great Douglas Adams and The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy : “Space is big. The office has all been moved around - new desks (with starter handles to raise and lower them), new high(er) speed network and ... the same old work. Everything Changes In A Fixed World

Graveyards eh, we are all drawn to them for a multitude of reasons. I like them for their gothic charm, their memories of people I used to know, and for the peace and quiet. It took me a little Googling to find where Nanna and Grandad Boyle are buried but luckily I had some 2006 photos to help me. Dad is now dead, my child is no longer a child, the horses are probably long gone. The church entrance is exactly the same, those trees are still there, and Nanna and Grandad's gravestone is as solid as ever, but changing with time.
